White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt laughed and said “absolutely not” when asked about a French politician’s request for the United States to return the Statue of Liberty. “My advice to that un-named, low-level, French politician would be to remind them that it’s only because of the United States of America that the French aren’t speaking German right now,” Leavitt said.
