Deadly wildfires in central and northern Portugal have pushed emergency services to the limit as much-needed reinforcements are due to arrive on Wednesday, the country’s civil protection authority says. At least seven people have died due to the fires in Portugal’s Aveiro and Viseu districts, and dozens of houses have been destroyed.
