Quebec and the federal government are locked in a battle over immigration targets. It’s come to the point where some are asking for a referendum on the matter. This follow’s Ottawa’s announcement that it will fast track around 20,000 family reunification applications pending in Quebec with the province arguing the federal government is overstepping.
