Significant sentence for man convicted in Sask. mountie’s death ‘sets a precedent’: family

On Thursday, the family of Saskatchewan RCMP Const. Shelby Patton commented on the sentencing of Alphonse Traverse saying the result helps “set a precedence for the importance of police officers’ safety who are out there trying to serve and protect the community.”
