On Saturday, Israel said it sent troops into Gaza Friday night and were still in the field. “Last night, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) entered northern Gaza, and expanded the field operation,” said Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari. In a separate televised statement, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant said “We passed a stage in the war. Overnight, the ground in Gaza shook… The instructions for the forces are clear: the operation will continue until a new order.”
