Remembrance Day may have been last month, but some Transcona residents keep fallen veterans in their thoughts during the holiday season. 

By the end of the ceremony, 115 wreaths had been placed as part of the first Wreaths Across Canada event to be hosted in Atlantic Canada's largest city.

Canadian Armed Forces members were honoured at Brookside Cemetery Sunday afternoon through the Wreaths Across Canada program. It aims to connect Canadians with veterans interred at burial sites across the country by laying wreaths at their grave sites.
