After a slow start to summer 2020, Winnipeg's mosquito season is finally in full swing, and the city's fogging program is set to begin Friday.

Many Winnipeggers are feeling extra bugged by mosquitoes this year and the city says there's been a recent spike.

Summer's officially here, and while Winnipeg may not be living up to its reputation as a mosquito hotspot so far, that doesn't mean you should let your guard down.

The City of Winnipeg has started its adult nuisance mosquito control program.

This summer has been – so far – largely mosquito-free, but the city's bug boss says that blissful skeeter-free season might be about to take a turn for the worse.

Winnipeg's mosquito traps are recording 5 mosquitoes on average -- well down from the historical average of 61 this time of year.

The city plans to start killing mosquitoes with a new fogging spray this summer.
