Thousands of protesters and heavy security were ready to greet President Donald Trump as he headed for his home in the city on Monday for the first time since his inauguration.

When Trump Tower officially opens in Downtown Vancouver on Tuesday, one of the first things visitors will see is a wall sculpture entitled "Paths to be Crossed" by Mexican-born artist Miriam Aroeste.

The security measures have slowed motor and foot traffic outside and raised concerns it could hurt business during the holiday shopping season.
