An emergency alert was issued for residents of Magrath on Thursday morning after a cougar was spotted within the southern Alberta town's trail system.

Residents of the Town of Magrath say they are in desperate need of an official dog park - and the town agrees. A group of dog owners in the town think they have found the perfect location.
