Police said officers responded to a call just before noon in the area of O'Connor Drive and Woodbine Avenue for reports of a collision.

Emergency services were called to the scene of a cyclist struck by a cement truck just before 4:45 p.m. in the area of Royal York Road and Judson Street.

“She loved biking. She biked everywhere. She was a casual cyclist but she used it in a very functional way."

Paramedics said a child was transported to SickKids Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries. Police later said those injuries were minor.
