The City of Calgary said the repairs are expected to take another three to four weeks, but there's hope the course can find a workaround to allow golfers to play around the work.

Southern Alberta is notorious for quickly-changing weather conditions, making it a challenging place to run a golf course. But people who work at local courses say this spring has presented more favourable conditions than last year.

A Lethbridge professional out of one of the province's most prestigious courses -- Paradise Canyon Golf Club -- is doing his part to grow the game in southern Alberta by running a junior program in Pincher Creek.
