Bob Rae, Canada's special envoy for the Rohingya crisis, said the two leaders didn't immediately agree with each other.

Rae should get the likes of China, India, Japan and Singapore to put pressure on the military and security services in Myanmar, says a former UN disaster response chief.

Amnesty International says it has turned up evidence of an "orchestrated campaign of systematic burnings" by Myanmar security forces targeting dozens of Rohingya villages over the last three weeks.

Myanmar has been under attack from the international community for what the United Nations considers as "genocide" against the Rohingya Muslims.
