With over 100 people dead – and the death toll still rising -- Mexico City and central Mexico were rattled by a strong 7.1 magnitude earthquake that struck Tuesday afternoon.

"It is with sadness that we learned of the devastating earthquake in Mexico this afternoon," Chrystia Freeland said in a statement Tuesday night.
