An American was gored in the leg and five other runners were injured Wednesday in the next-to-last running of the bulls at Pamplona's San Fermin festival, officials said.

A bullfighter was fatally gored in Spain in an eastern town — the first professional matador to be killed in the ring in more than three decades.

A man from Valencia died Saturday after being gored in a late-night bull run near the southern Spanish town of Alicante, while two men were gored and 12 others injured in the more popular morning bull-run race in Pamplona.
