As of March 21, Calgary is allowing residents to apply for an urban hen livestock licence to keep backyard hens, joining communities like Edmonton and Okotoks.

A bylaw officer visited Lee Craig on Wednesday evening and said he had 30 days to get rid of his backyard chickens, which he's had since April.
