In a tweet Thursday, Toronto police said a collision occurred in the Lake Shore Boulevard East and Lower Jarvis Street just before 6:30 p.m. 

"It's going to be significant ... give yourself lots of extra time."

The unique stretch along Lake Shore Boulevard East, from Leslie Street to just before the DVP East, has become a popular breeze through for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians while preserving a small piece of Toronto history.
