Police said the suspect ran an investment company called New Horizons Mortgage Investment Corporation between 2004 and 2017.

Police say a man who was 32 at the time entrusted him with $395,000 for investment, but the agreements were never fulfilled.

Police say they received reports from alleged victims who were presented an investment opportunity with promises of large financial returns in a short period of time.
