A 32-year-old man is expected to appear in court later in the day on Saturday to face murder charges in connection with the death of a 34-year-old woman.

A 36-year-old woman, confirmed to be the girl's mother, was also found at the scene.

Police have arrested a 44-year-old man in connection with an overnight stabbing inside an apartment on Lacordaire Street, near Hochelaga Street, in Montreal's Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough.
