A local food hamper program is looking to stretch donations even further by adding in fresh Alberta produce -- the kind designed to weather a Canadian winter.

For 2019, the Holiday Hamper Foundation has a goal of helping out 1000 Edmonton families. But for that, they need 1000 volunteer groups — but so far only have 500 signed up.
