Mayor Marianne Meed Ward told Global News that Bulldogs owner Michael Andlauer has talked to the city about the possibility of relocating to Burlington.

The owner of the OHL Bulldogs says councillors made the wrong decision when they voted to pass on a bid to build a new arena at Lime Ridge Mall.

Councillors agreed with a feasibility study that suggested they collaborate with the Hamilton Bulldogs on building an arena at Lime Ridge Mall.

The feasibility study will suggest the city pass on a proposed 6,000 seat arena proposal from the Bulldogs.

Andlauer's presentation estimates that a 6,000-seat arena at Limeridge Mall, along with a three-storey parking garage, would cost $126 million.
