According to the latest Air Quality Health Index, the rating has been downgraded to 2, which is lower than the ratings Metro Vancouver has experienced over the past few days.

Due to extremely dry conditions the province has declared Level 4 drought conditions for Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, and also taken the extra step of suspending fishing in the area.
