The bodies of a 50-year-old woman and her 16-year-old son have been found at the site of a house fire in Evansburg, Alta., the RCMP said on Wednesday.

The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) said fire crews were called to the scene just before 1 a.m., where they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the building.

'Being a paramedic, I've seen lots of fires. I've encountered many devastating things, but you never think that you're going to go through it.'
