Calgary post-secondary institutions are watching the Omicron variant closely while determining teaching plans for the winter semester.

Officials with Mount Royal University announced on Friday that the university will continue to deliver most classes online during the winter 2021 semester, as they had been in the fall 2020 semester.

The university said any students experiencing challenges in their studies can use the break to meet with faculty members and support services at a time that’s “early enough in the semester to course correct.”
