The tornado warning was issued Thursday afternoon for the city of Calgary, as well as the surrounding areas of Airdrie, Cochrane, Olds and Sundre, Okotoks, High River and Claresholm and was lifted less than one hour later.

Environment Canada issued the warnings at 9:54 p.m. MT Sunday night for Rocky View Co. near Chestermere Dalroy and Dalemead.

The tornado was observed 13 kilometres northwest of Calgary International Airport at about 8:20 p.m. Monday.
