Jimmy, 27, was stopped for speeding after he used a knife and a seatbelt to fight off a venomous brown snake.

A Quebec biologist is highlighting the need to save some of Montreal's open areas from development in order to protect a rare snake that is found nowhere in the province except in the Greater Montreal area.

Brown snakes aren't venomous and they serve an important role in urban ecosystems by feeding on common garden pests.
