As the new council is set to be inaugurated on Monday, Global News had the opportunity to sit down with all seven outgoing city councillors.

Bob Monette, longtime councillor for Orléans, was ready and set to seek a fifth re-election for Ottawa city council, but decided in June it was time to leave politics due to "family considerations."

Jody Mitic, Shad Qadri, David Chernushenko, Michael Qaqish, Mark Taylor, Bob Monette and Marianne Wilkinson will not be returning to council in the new term.
