Amber Guyger, a white former Dallas police officer, has been indicted on a murder charge in the shooting death of her black neighbour, Botham Jean, at his apartment.

Body camera footage shows Thurman Blevins, a 31-year-old black man, was fleeing police on foot when he was shot in the back, over what Minneapolis police say was a gun in his hand.

A white Louisiana officer was fired for the killing of Alton Sterling, a black man shot in a 2016 incident that inflamed the U.S. debate on racial bias in law enforcement.

Clark was killed by two Sacramento police officers who believed he had a gun. He was holding a cellphone.

"Like any compassionate person, I was horrified by the death of a young Sacramento man who we later found out had two kids," Mayor Darrell Steinberg said.
