Ashleigh Barty defeated Danielle Collins in final on Saturday, ending a 44-year drought for Australian women at their home Grand Slam tournament.

The top-seeded Barty adds this championship to the one she won at the French Open in 2019, and she is the first Australian woman to win the Wimbledon singles trophy since 1980.
