The Crown has argued Const. Daniel Montsion "used reinforced knuckle-plated gloves as a weapon" during the 2016 arrest of Abdirahman Abdi, who died following the incident.

After a two-month break, Crown prosecutors on Monday formally closed their case against Montsion, who has pleaded not guilty to manslaughter in the 2016 death of Abdirahman Abdi.
