Greg Abbott promised Saturday that efforts “will be relentless in going after and ensuring that we locate every single person who’s been a victim of this flooding event.” Meanwhile, Kerrville resident Scott Walden, 63, recounted on Saturday the terrifying ordeal he and his wife faced when they had to evacuate their home. “We literally jumped in the water and it swept us down to about 200 feet down. And there is a creek myrtle tree that we grabbed hold of and we waited for rescue.”
