WINNIPEG – A house fire in River Heights on Tuesday afternoon caused $400,000 damage and sent a man to hospital, firefighters said early Wednesday.

Emergency services were sent to the fire at 516 Cordova St. shortly after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The house sustained $300,000 damage and the content damage was valued at $100,000.
Cordova was closed between Fleet and Corydon avenues while firefighters battled the blaze.
