Traffic restrictions on busy Saskatoon streets

SASKATOON – There are several significant traffic restrictions in Saskatoon.

The first is on Waman Road where the northbound lanes are closed between 33rd Street and 7th Avenue for an emergency watermain repair.

The city is advising drivers to use Quebec Avenue northbound or use 7th Avenue North to access Warman Road northbound.

The restriction is expected to be lifted by 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

Traffic will also be restricted to one lane westbound on the University Bridge as crews repair metal armoring on an expansion joint starting at 11 a.m..

The work will also close the north pedestrian walkway.

Work is expected to be completed on Tuesday by 2:30 p.m.

Circle Drive eastbound is also down to one lane this week at the intersection of 1st Avenue North as crews work to repair a primary water main.

The restriction is expected to last until Friday evening.

Traffic is also restricted in the eastbound curb lane of the 51st Street overpass as crews replace the crash cushions.

The Highway 16 northbound on-ramp will remain open.

Work there is expected to be completed by 4 p.m.
