CALGARY – A 13-year-old boy is fighting for his life in hospital after being hit by a car on Monday night.
It happened around 6 p.m. on Hidden Valley Drive N.W., forcing the closure of the roadway.

The victim was rushed to the Alberta Children’s Hospital with serious head injuries. He remains in critical but stable condition.
The 36-year old driver of the car was not injured, and stayed at the scene while police investigated.
Investigators say speed and alcohol are not factors in the collision, and it’s unclear if any charges will be laid.
