Toronto man charged with dangerous driving in cyclist’s death

TORONTO – A 20-year-old Toronto man has been charged with dangerous driving causing death after a cyclist was killed in west-end Toronto Wednesday morning.

Police say a 1992 BMW 325 was travelling westbound along Sheppard Avenue West approaching Yukon Lane when it struck a male cyclist.

Adrian Dudzicki, 24, who was a top squash player in Canada, suffered fatal injuries and died on scene.

Aleksey Aleksev has been charged with dangerous driving causing death and criminal negligence causing death.

He was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.

Authorities are asking the six people who helped the cyclist to contact police.
