EDMONTON – Motorists may want to be extra careful on the roads Wednesday, as Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for the Greater Edmonton area, along with parts of central and northern Alberta.
A severe weather bulletin was issued by Environment Canada Wednesday morning, explaining that “an area of showers have developed over central Alberta and will continue throughout the day.
Although air temperatures are above zero degrees, many ground surfaces are near or below zero,” causing the rain to freeze.
