String of armed robberies targeting cabbies under investigation

SASKATOON – Three armed robberies of cab drivers have Saskatoon police looking into whether they are related.

The robberies took place over a six-day period on Nov. 6, 11 and 12 between 9 and 10 p.m.

In each case, a man was picked up and during the drive, asked the taxi driver to stop and give him change.

At that point, the man would pull a knife and demand cash before fleeing.

None of the drivers has been physically injured in the robberies.

The suspect in each case is First Nations, 6’ and between 30 and 35.
