Astronaut Chris Hadfield visits Winnipeg, Global News

WINNIPEG – Chris Hadfield, the man who made space cool again, landed in Winnipeg.

Hadfield is promoting his book, An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth, with a book signing at McNally Robinson at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Global News reporter Lorraine Nickel sat down with Hadfield for a one-on-one Wednesday and will also appear live on the Morning News at 6 a.m. Thursday.

Morning News anchor Eva Kovacs said interviewing the famed astronaut will be a highlight of her career.

“Chris Hadfield has become a household name because of the creative way he showed us what life is like in zero gravity on the International Space Station,” Kovacs said.

Hadfield rocketed to worldwide fame as the commander of the International Space Station. His videos about life on the space station, tweets of photos taken in space and work with groups such as schoolchildren brought him attention from around the globe.
