Saskatchewan man charged with attempted kidnapping in Winnipeg

WINNIPEG – A Saskatchewan man is facing charges after trying to kidnap a teen girl in Winnipeg on Monday.

Winnipeg police say the 16-year-old girl was walking on Main Street near Bannerman Avenue when an SUV began to follow her.

The driver eventually stopped the vehicle, grabbed her by the arm and demanded she get in the SUV.

She managed to break free and the driver threw a plastic bottle at her before fleeing.

He was arrested a short time later during a traffic stop.

Julian Littlechild, 27, has been charged with attempted kidnapping and assault with a weapon.
