Police have been following Alexander “Sandro” Lisi and Mayor Rob Ford for months, investigating possible illegal activity and allegations surrounding a video of the mayor purportedly smoking crack cocaine.

Documents released Oct. 31 detail the police investigation that eventually led to the arrests of Lisi, Ford’s friend and occasional driver, on drug-related charges Oct. 1. Jamshid Bahrami, the owner of a dry-cleaning business, was also arrested.

Police allege Lisi and Ford met on several occasions and they documented many of these meetings.
