Two children hit in southeast intersection

CALGARY – Two children were rushed to hospital after being struck while in a southeast crosswalk on Friday.

It happened around 8:15 a.m. at the intersection of 17 Avenue and 47 Street S.E.

A 13-year-old boy was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition, and a 5-year-old girl was taken to hospital for observation.

Police say charges are pending.
