TORONTO – Open government or open goverment? Premier Kathleen Wynne was forced to spell-check her own press conference Monday when a reporter pointed out a glaring but previously unnoticed spelling mistake.
The podium the Premier was standing at had the words “open goverment” written across the front.
“That is really not good,” she said when the mistake was pointed out.
She was given a pen by someone off-camera and tried to insert the missing ‘n.’
According to a reporter at the event, a staffer tried to make a joke of the mistake by invoking conservative politics:
Great line from Wynne staffer re leaving out the ‘n’ in government: “We’re making goverment smaller, one letter at a time.” #onpoli
