Fredericton Police say they’ve recovered the body of a male in his mid 40’s in the city’s Killarney Lake.
In a release, police said they responded to a report of a missing swimmer on Saturday at about 8:00 p.m.
The lake’s beach and trails were closed as the initial rescue effort was conducted and remained closed as the investigation took place.
“No further information will be released at this time as the matter is still being investigated,” the release said.
“Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
