Police attempted to stop the vehicle but Daniels refused to pull over, and she sped off at speeds of up to 160 km/h.

Court heard she had been using methamphetamine that day.

Provincial court Judge Albert Lavoie sentenced Daniels to 45 days in jail, a one-year driving ban and 10 months probation.

“This isn’t a video game, we are playing in real-time life,” Lavoie said, referring to Daniels’ dangerous driving.
