A city councillor in Prince George has resigned from his position on the city’s finance committee after it became public that he had not paid property taxes for the last three years.

Cameron Stolz has also served as acting mayor for the city. He has apologized for failing to pay his property taxes.
Stolz says that as a small business owner he ran into financial problems because of the global recession.
However, Stolz says things have now turned around and that he has paid in full.
