TORONTO — Canadian star William Shatner has teamed up with musicians like Vince Gill, Steve Vai and Dave Koz for his latest album, Ponder the Mystery.
The progressive rock collection was produced by Billy Sherwood of Yes and also features contributions by members of Foreigner and The Doors.
The album has 15 tracks and goes on sale Oct. 8.
Shatner, 82, released the spoken-word album The Transformed Man in 1968, featuring interpretations of “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” and “Mr. Tambourine Man.”
The Montreal native partnered with Ben Folds for 2004’s Has Been and released Seeking Major Tom in 2011.
