Shooting in Halifax’s North End sends one man to hospital

HALIFAX – A 25-year-old man faces non-life threatening injuries after shots were fired in Halifax’s North End.

At 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Halifax police responded to the 5400 block of Sunrise Walk near Uniacke Square.

One apartment was surrounded by yellow tape and police officers were seen coming in and out of the residence.

The victim tells police he was shot at while walking near Sunrise Walk. He was taken to the QE2 with a hand injury.

Halifax police describe the suspect as a man with dark hair.
