A brand new pediatric emergency department is opening at Surrey Memorial hospital soon.
Instead of sharing lights and monitors, every room has its own built-in equipment and there are televisions to help distract young patients.

The new E.R. doesn’t open until Tuesday, but staff have been undergoing intense training and orientation for the past three months, including today when they played the parts of patients.
