On Monday, September 23, Alberta municipalities posted their unofficial lists of candidates running in the upcoming civic elections.
Stony Plain:
Mayor William Choy is acclaimed.

According to the unofficial list of candidates, Stuart Houston and Dan Saunders are they mayoral candidates.

St. Albert:
In St. Albert, incumbent Nolan Crouse will seek the mayor’s chair once again. Shelley Biermanski is also running.

Beaumont:
In Beaumont, Camille Bérubé, KC MacPherson and Gil Poitras are running for mayor. There are 12 people running for council positions. Click here for more details.
Devon:
The unofficial list of candidates shows Sheila Aitken, Anita Fisher and Stephen Lindop running for mayor.

Greg Pasychny is seeking re-election as mayor of Edson for the third term. Robert Wilkinson is also running for the top job.

Two mayoral candidates will be running against incumbent Melissa Blake. Gene Oullette and Jim Rogers will also run.

Red Deer:
After more than two decades on council, Morris Flewwelling is stepping down as mayor, so Red Deer will elect a new leader in October. There are five candidates running for the position: William Horn, Cindy Jefferies, Chad Mason, Dennis Trepanier, and Tara Veer.

Grande Prairie:
Putting their names forward for Mayor are Gladys Blackmore and incumbent Bill Given.
