Investigators have towed a black Acura from a Chilliwack home where a 14-month-old baby girl was found dead on Friday evening.
Authorities have been there all weekend after the girl was found in medical distress and later died in hospital.
Foul play is suspected in the girl’s death.
Neighbours tell Global News that they had never seen the Acura that was towed away from the home, and say a woman lives there by herself.
Police do have one man in custody, but they are not saying how the suspect may have known the young girl.
“I just heard a lot of sirens,” said neighbour Jodi Dunlop, “and when I looked out the door I saw fire trucks, ambulance, several ambulances, and police cars. And I saw a gentleman walking out in handcuffs and a gurney being pulled out of the home.”
