He’s known as “The Hybrid” because he mixes a heavyweight’s power with a lightweight’s speed. He stand six feet, four inches tall, weighs in at just under 250 pounds, and has professional MMA record of 9-3.
But despite those impressive credentials, Schaub will enter new territory Saturday night in Toronto when he faces his one-time friend, Matt Mitrione, in one of the featured bouts of this weekend’s UFC 165.
A former football player and member of the Buffalo Bills, Schaub showed there was much more to his personality when he sat down with the team from Global News’ “The Morning Show” Wednesday to talk about how he prepares, why he sees the sport of Mixed Martial arts as “physical chess”, and how he approaches fighting a former friend.
